We met at the Back
Porch B&B and after a delicious meal of Taco Soup
and Cherry/Peach Cobbler, President John Boggs
called the meeting to order.
Ten B&B’s were
represented. John thanked and commended last year’s
officers and called the roll of last year’s
membership. All who were present introduced
themselves and stated how long they have been in
business. A discussion of how to locate and solicit
new B&B’s in the area ensued.
Sandra Twitty reported
that there is $1048.07 in the bank account with
additional dues of $605 and expense of $75 to Jerry
Walters. Susan Mazanec will be given $40 for ink
cartridge.
Pam Allen presented new
B&B brochures and John passed out info of our
website and also gave info on a new contact that
does web sites.

John discussed asking Ryan to talk to a future
meeting of our group. Pam presented an idea of our
members getting away to Gainesville for just a
relaxing weekend. There are a lot of antique stores
and shops there. Pam also mentioned the possibility
of a B&B cruise.
John explained the reciprocal program of HAT.
Becky Hodges spoke briefly of B&B gift cards now
being sold at Wal-mart. She also encouraged members
to search out becoming members of HAT.
John warned about some schemes being used by people
to book rooms for upcoming events
that turn out to
be bogus and attempts to get refunds fraudulently.
Linda Williams made a motion to do the airport
project for one year at $180. Marcia Boggs seconded
the motion. It was voted on and passed. Susan will
present the check to airport.
