at Ranch Bunkhouse Bed
and Breakfast, Belton
Tuesday, August
15, 2006
B&B Representatives Present: Rope the Wind,
Judge Baylor House, Country Charm, Ranch
Bunkhouse, The Farm
Meeting opened at 7:15 p.m. Sandwiches,
chips, coffee, lemonade, and fruit were
provided.
Old Business:
Susan presented a rack card brochure and
passed it around for all to evaluate. Much
discussion ensued centering around the title
of the brochure. The brochure currently
reads “Heart of Texas” but does not indicate
that it is for a bed and breakfast. Members
liked the design otherwise. The decision
was made to keep the general design, but
change the title to read “Heart of Texas Bed
& Breakfast. Susan will make the
adjustments and a finished product will be
emailed to everyone. Unless someone raises a
significant objection, this will be the
design that is printed. Susan will get
prices for printing from different agencies
and for different quantities.
Susan advised each member to look on the
“Baylor Admissions” website to see if the
members are listed on there. She had spoken
to a Mr. Staats from Baylor and was able to
get her Bed & Breakfast listed. Susan
encouraged each of us who were not listed on
the website to contact Mr. Staats.
New Business:
Susan reported that some of the members had
emailed her requesting that the business
meetings be held in Waco as opposed to the
bed & breakfasts outside of the city. This
is because traveling distance makes it
difficult for some members to attend. The
motion to have the meetings in Waco was then
made, seconded and passed.
Some discussion was brought up about plans
for Christmas. Would members be opening up
their businesses for the Holidays? Most
were not wanting to participate in Christmas
activities. Nothing was decided.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., the meeting was
adjourned.
